22nd September 2020 – UPDATE
Following receipt of results for recent monthly testing of residents, one resident has proved positive for Covid-19. Whilst this could well be a ‘false reading’ we are duty bound to isolate all residents on the first floor for a period of 14 days. All information has been reported to LCRC at Public Health England. We will of course follow current guidelines for the resident who has tested positive and continue to test our remaining residents monthly and staff weekly.
Our priority here at the home is to contain any virus and safeguard all residents and staff, therefore we have no alternative other than to cancel all visits for residents on the first floor for a minimum of fourteen days until Monday 28th September 2020.
Visiting those residents on the ground floor remains unaffected and will continue via our appointment booking system.
I can report our garden room is virtually ready, the final finishing touches should be completed by the end of September. I will of course inform you when it is operational. As a gentle reminder I would ask all to comply with guidelines for PPE wear, social distancing, and courtesy to others as per our visiting policy.
May I thank you for your continued support and cooperation in this matter.
