We focus on providing high standards of accommodation in our home and high service standards as a company.
Meadowbanks is a purpose-built care home. There are 40 bedrooms located on two floors and each room has its own en-suite shower room. There is a large lounge, dining room and a library along with, a large, assisted bathroom, sluice, treatment room, workstation, purpose-built salon and additional storage areas. There are 19 single en-suite bedrooms on the ground floor. Two bedrooms are interconnecting and can be used as a bedroom and lounge, or for a couple who wish to have access between the two rooms. All rooms have a nurse call system. The home is located in four acres of meadow land with two fully secured gardens.
The client group are residential and those living with dementia, both can be permanent or respite. The aim is for Meadowbanks to be a ‘home from home’ with residents and their families encouraged to personalise residents’ bedrooms with photos, pictures and a special piece of furniture (subject to fire regulations) if they so choose. We focus on maintaining a person’s strengths and independence, and encouragement will be given to residents to participate fully in their admission, care planning and the running of the home.

Helping residents learn new hobbies.
While our activity programme offers a wide variety of opportunities. We encourage our residents to explore new hobbies and interests. There are facilities in place and resources available to pursue solo, or group activities at Meadowbanks.

A safe home environment.
Safeguarding our residents is our highest priority. We create and maintain safety by following strict guidelines and rules. These guidelines are reviewed and updated frequently, we rely on our up-to-date safety measurements to continue our level of safety and high standards of service.

A person-centred approach.
Our home is person-centred where residents feel in control of their lives, able to make their own decisions, enabling them to feel good. We do this by knowing our residents, encouraging, and facilitating existing and new stimulating activities and being part of meaningful interaction, in a kind and compassionate environment.
Our Activity Co-ordinator will spend time with each resident to identify their requirements in relation to activities. You are also included in your admission to Meadowbanks, deciding your care plan and deciding your mealtimes.
